The Show-Me State has tapped World Wide Technology Inc. as its primary vendor for a range of IT products and services under a $110 million contract. The two-year deal has three one-year options.

The goal of the contract is to minimize the state's administrative costs, maximize its buying power and furnish end users with various IT products and services, the company said in a statement.

The consolidated purchasing opportunities provided through the contract are open to state agencies, educational institutions and local governments. Missouri spends roughly $55 million every year on IT products and services, the company said.

WWT of St. Louis is a reseller and systems integrator that has partnerships with large original IT equipment manufacturers. The company, which has about 900 employees and fiscal 2005 revenue of $1.8 billion, ranks No. 62 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal prime contractors.
