Multimax picks up Navy command-services deal

Multimax Inc. won a four-year, $41.7 million contract to deliver comprehensive IT infrastructure services for the Commander Navy Installations Command.

Multimax of Herndon, Va., will plan, operate and maintain an IT infrastructure designed to help the command better oversee the Navy's shore installation support services for fleets, soldiers and their families.

The company's first task is to set up a help desk and depot support facility for the command's enterprise land mobile-radio project. Among other services Multimax will furnish are systems integration and support, computer-aided design drawing, videoconferencing, Web page design, server hosting and IT training.

Multimax is a privately owned company that offers IT and communications services and solutions to federal, state and local governments.
