The Army is looking for contractors to provide logistic support services in 12 task areas for installations in the continental United States and overseas.

Task areas of the Field and Installation Readiness Support Team program include IT support for logistics systems, training support, transportation supply support and commandwide logistics enterprise systems support.

The contract has two sections: a restricted part for small businesses and a full-and-open part.

The Army will issue multiple awards each for five years with two-year options. Responses are due by July 28. Contact the Army Contracting Agency at LOGJAMSS2@us.army.mil.

Prisons Bureau wants wireless

The Bureau of Prisons wants information about wireless technologies that could be used securely in the agency's infrastructure.

Vendors should provide information on the types of access points that can be used for indoor and outdoor locations, how the wireless LAN can work with the wired infrastructure, how roaming can be handled in the design, and the type of encryption that can be supported.

They also should describe data infrastructure security features for mitigating attacks such as snooping, denial of service and viruses and worms.

Network services for DEA

The Drug Enforcement Administration needs IT services to operate and maintain its unclassified network infrastructure. Services include hardware, software, network administration, desktop maintenance and support at headquarters and in the field, troubleshooting, configuration management and information systems security.

Contractors must have a minimum secret security clearance. The agency will issue a single award through a full-and-open competition. The contract will be for one year with four one-year options.
