GTSI names customer advocate

Value-added reseller GTSI Corp. wants customers to know they have a voice at the company and that voice belongs to Sandra Blaisdell.

The Chantilly, Va., company named Blaisdell area vice president of customer advocacy. As such, she will lead GTSI's efforts to incorporate customer needs into current and long-term planning, the company said.

She also will be responsible for identifying service-related needs for future customer requirements. Blaisdell, who worked at AT&T Corp. for 16 years, will report to Scott Friedlander, GTSI executive vice president.

The creation of the position is part of GTSI's efforts to build a customer-first culture at the company, officials said.

Blaisdell holds a master of science degree from Purdue University. She also has a master of management and a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University.
