CGI-AMS will supply an enterprise resource planning software suite to the city and county of Honolulu through a two and one-half year contract worth $10 million.

The Fairfax, Va., company will install its Web-based Advantage ERP suite to drive financial and human resources processes such as general ledger, accounts payable, purchasing and fixed assets.

The integrated ERP solution is expected to enhance Honolulu's modern business practices and mission critical functions of city government.

"Advantage will enable Honolulu to meet its business objectives, including lower total cost of ownership, more efficient business processes and better information for financial decision-making," said Donna Morea, CGI-AMS' president, in a statement announcing the deal.

AMS Advantage is used by 190 public sector clients.

CGI-AMS is a unit of CGI Group Inc. of Montreal. The company, which sells IT and business process services, ranks No. 53 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of federal IT prime contractors.
