Air Force verification work goes to Multimax

Multimax Inc. won a contract with the Defense Enterprise Account Management Office at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., for the Independent Verification and Validation Laboratory.

Multimax Inc. won a contract with the Defense Enterprise Account Management Office at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., for the Independent Verification and Validation Laboratory. The task order could be worth up to $2.9 million over four years.

Multimax of Herndon, Va., will furnish all materials, equipment, space, network and Internet service provider interfaces, networking and system administrative skills needed to maintain a net-centric software engineering test laboratory for all assigned systems.

Specific tasks include delivering Oracle financial software support and management, network systems support services, desktop support and client user support services, and Web development. Multimax also will provide workspace at a commercial site within the Scott base area for the Defense Enterprise Account Management network-centric software engineering test laboratory environment.

Multimax's partner on the task order is Secure Data Inc., a veteran-owned business in Camden, Del., which specializes in IT and program management services.

The contract is part of the Air Force's Network Centric Solutions contract vehicle. Netcents is a five-year, $9 billion acquisition initiative to provide Air Force, Defense Department, and other federal agencies with the complete range of IT, networking, telephony and security services and solutions.
