Alion Science and Technology Corp. has acquired Micro Analysis and Design Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.


Micro Analysis specializes in human factor engineering, the practice of studying and designing IT applications to work in harmony with people.


The purchase is expected to boost Alion's capabilities in human-systems integration as well as in ship design, modeling and simulation.

A thousand times no on BAE


CACI International Inc. is emphatic: It has not been in talks with BAE Systems plc about a possible acquisition by the British aerospace and defense company.


News reports about the matter started after a British business newspaper reported May 14 that the two companies had been holding talks. BAE Systems had previously declined to comment on the rumored negotiations.

Pearson seals Blueprint deal


Pearson Government Solutions Inc. has completed its acquisition of Blueprint Technologies Inc. in a move that bolsters its enterprise architecture services.


Blueprint Technologies is a private, woman-owned, small business that specializes in architecture-based solutions. Terms of the stock transaction were not disclosed.

GD delays closing on Anteon


General Dynamics Corp. extended for three months the deadline for completing its acquisition of Anteon International Corp., pending the outcome of the Justice Department's review of the deal.


The company set July 31 to finish its $2.2 billion purchase of Anteon of Fairfax, Va.

Hansen grabs Spear


Hansen Information Technologies of Rancho Cordova, Calif., acquired Spear Technologies Inc., a provider of asset-management solutions for public transit and rail markets.


Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
