ManTech lands Joint Strike Fighter logistics support work
ManTech International Corp. won a five-year, $13.2 million contract from the Defense Department to support the logistics mission associated with the joint strike fighter aircraft.
ManTech International Corp. will support a new strike fighter aircraft for the Defense Department, through a new contract awarded to the company.
Under a five-year, $13.2 million contract, ManTech of Fairfax, Va., will provide a concept of operations and operational architecture for a strategy to improve acquisition and material visibility for the Joint Strike Fighter. Material visibility refers to the ability to locate and account for material assets to support a mission.
The company also will help apply service-oriented enterprise and product lifecycle support international standards, along with development of business information objects that offer views of data from multiple data sources.
The Defense Logistics Agency's Logistics Enterprise Support Program will oversee ManTech's work on the Joint Strike Fighter single point of entry operational prototype. The effort will produce a framework for Joint Strike Fighter deployment that will shorten repair time and lower life cycle costs.
The Joint Strike Fighter is the next generation fighter that will be used by Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and eight foreign partners.
ManTech also supports the Joint Strike Fighter program through a full array of integrated security support services, including physical and information security, anti-tamper solutions and technology assessment. The company also addresses certification and accreditation, foreign disclosure and systems security engineering.
ManTech International, which has more than 6,000 employees and had annual sales of $980.3 million in fiscal 2005, ranks No. 21 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
