Intekras lands Medicare network support deal

Intekras Inc. won a five-year, $7.2 million contract to support a network that assists health care providers and associated businesses with Medicaid and Medicare programs.

Intekras Inc. won a five-year, $7.2 million contract to support a network that assists health care providers and associated businesses with Medicaid and Medicare programs.

Under the contract, Intekras of Sterling, Va., will render product fulfillment services, hosting services and technical support for the Medicare Learning Network (MedLearn) learning management and product ordering systems.

Product fulfillment services include maintaining inventory, packaging and mailing MedLearn brochures, pamphlets, videotapes, audiotapes, DVDs and publications to the health care community and general public.

The hosting service for the learning management system furnishes, on-demand, and free of charge, educational courses to more than 50,000 users, Intekras said in a statement.

MedLearn falls under the Health and Human Services Department's Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and offers educational materials and customer service to physicians, health care facilities, providers and suppliers.

Intekras a privately held, 8(a) company, that offers IT solutions focused on information security, national security and defense systems to both government and commercial clients. The company also offers integrated support services for learning solutions, network services and document management.
