Micromuse wins Navsea net-centric service management work

Micromuse Inc. won a $15 million subcontract from Eyak Technology Inc. to provide infrastructure service management and assurance for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command transformation project

Micromuse Inc. won a $15 million subcontract from Eyak Technology Inc. to provide infrastructure service management and assurance for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command transformation project.

As part of Navsea's Ashore Transformation Project, EyakTek of Reston, Va., contracted to implement Micromuse's Netcool solutions to monitor and manage the systems and services that run the Navy's ship-to-shore communications. These systems support operational readiness and assure reliability and security of network-centric operations with a common operational view of the infrastructure.

Under the subcontract, Micromuse of San Francisco will furnish its Netcool software to support the transport communications backbone layer and make a foundation for net-centric operations and warfare. The Netcool software suite is designed to assure that IT systems are functioning to their maximum capabilities.

EyakTek is an Alaska native-owned, 8(a) certified company that specializes in communications, IT, health care and architecture and engineering services.

Micromuse, a maker of service assurance software, has more than 650 employees and had annual revenue of $160.8 million in fiscal 2005.
