The Securities and Exchange Commission wants vendors to offer follow-on support for its Electronic Data Gathering Analysis and Retrieval System, called Edgar. The system automates data collection, validation, indexing and acceptance and forwarding of forms submitted to SEC.The current contract, held by Northrop Grumman Corp., to support Edgar expires June 2006. The agency expects to issue a draft solicitation in mid-November and a final solicitation in mid-January. Bids on the new contract likely will be due by the end of February.Responses to the sources sought notice are due by Nov. 9. Contact Joanie Newhart at n.NASA wants to integrate the management of desktop computing at its Jet Propulsion Laboratory, run by the California Institute of Technology.The vendor must provide personnel, transportation, computer hardware, software, documentation and all necessary equipment and support services. The vendor's services also must include help desk, systems administration, computer hardware maintenance, and purchasing and replenishing hardware.Most of the work will be done at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory campus in Pasadena, Calif.Responses are due by Nov. 18.
