Unisys wins Military Sealift payroll support work
Unisys Corp. has won a contract from the Navy's Military Sealift Command's to provide applications support for systems used by the Sealift Logistics Command-Atlantic.
Unisys Corp. has won a four-year, $5.3 million contract from the Navy's Military Sealift Command's to provide applications support for systems used by the Sealift Logistics Command-Atlantic, the company announced today.
Under the contract, Unisys of Blue Bell, Pa., will provide maintenance and enhancements for the Unified Civilian-Mariner Payroll System and three other systems.
In the process, Unisys will maintain the archive data for the primary application, the Unified Civilian-Mariner Payroll System, in an accessible format, allowing the impromptu reporting and retroactive pay changes for the Military Sealift Command civilian mariners.
The other systems Unisys will support are the Heads' Afloat Management System, the Custody Material Receipt System and the Ships' Historical Ports and Dates and Mariner Service History.
The Military Sealift Command provides strategic sealift and ocean transportation for all military forces overseas.
Unisys has 36,000 employees and annual sales of $5.8 billion. The company ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
