DOD re-ups Booz Allen for human resources integration
Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. has won a contract from the Defense Department to continue providing support services to the Joint Requirements and Integration Office.
Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. has won a five-year, $106 million contract from the Defense Department to continue providing support services to the Joint Requirements and Integration Office (JRIO), the company announced today.
Under the contract renewal, Booz Allen of McLean, Va., will continue providing IT support services to JRIO, which provides information management support to the undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness.
The scope of work includes all of the functional requirements for the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources Systems, a joint DOD program intended to develop a single personnel and payroll system. The company has provided these services since April 2002.
In addition, Booz Allen will provide strategic outreach, change management and human resources management under the Business Management and Modernization Program. This involves developing architecture for human resource systems, as well as providing portfolio management to help the department manage systems and reduce redundancy.
Booz Allen has about 16,000 employees and annual sales of $3 billion. The company ranks No. 9 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
