NCI wins Army network support services deal

NCI Information Systems Inc. won a five-year contract with the Army worth about $28.9 million to provide various technical support services.

NCI Information Systems Inc. won a five-year contract with the Army worth about $28.9 million to provide various technical support services, company officials said today.

Under the contract, NCI of Reston, Va., will provide management and network engineering support for local area and wide area network military, civilian and contractor users, including hardware insertion, testing and integration as well as system security certification and accreditation.

An initial delivery order for $5.6 million was issued as part of the contract for the first period of performance. The contract is a recompete and renewal of work NCI has been performing for the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command.

NCI's workforce is located the Army Garrison in Warren, Mich.

The company, which has about 1,400 employees and annual sales of $171.3 million, ranks No. 92 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
