BearingPoint wins Naval Air Systems Command deal
BearingPoint Inc. has won a two-year contract from the Naval Air Systems Command to provide technical and advisory services for process improvement of the AIRSpeed project.
BearingPoint Inc. has won a two-year, $4 million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command to provide technical and advisory services for process improvement of the AIRSpeed project, the company announced today.
Under the contract, BearingPoint of McLean, Va., will provide consulting services to the command's Depot Cherry Point, N.C., AIRSpeed Office, which is overseeing an initiative to improve and increase the efficiency for depot processes.
BearingPoint's services will include planning, managing, training, mentoring and deploying a fully integrated process. Titan Corp., San Diego, and Optiprise Inc., Holland., Mich., are subcontractors.
The NAVAIR Depot Cherry Point facilitates fleet readiness of naval air forces through management of depot maintenance. It inspects, repairs, manufactures, procures, modifies and overhauls airframes, engines, components and test equipment for Navy and Marine Corps aviation units.
BearingPoint has worked with NAVAIR Depot Cherry Point for six years, supporting various implementation projects to improve general processes at the facility.
Based in McLean, Va., BearingPoint is No. 24 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors, ranked according to their IT revenue.
