Locution Systems Inc. has introduced CADVoice ZoneTracker, a device that lets firefighters and paramedics use a wireless touchpad to access a fire station's alert system and update their location, said officials from the Golden, Colo., company.
ZoneTracker can be carried around the station or docked to a wall mount. The product is designed for use with Locution's dispatching and fire station alerting system, CADVoice Fire.
ZoneTracker offers a tech-friendly way for firefighters and paramedics to update their location within a fire station, so dispatches can reach them more quickly. For example, the alerting system might automatically route a dispatch for a unit to the unit's bunkroom. However, if it's lunchtime and that unit is in the kitchen, unit members can update the system with that information.Windows to go
