L-3 wins intel support contract

L-3 Communications Government Services Inc. won a four-year, $426.5 million contract from the Army to provide intelligence support services for multinational forces in Iraq.

L-3 Communications Government Services Inc. won a four-year, $426.5 million contract from the Army to provide intelligence support services for multinational forces in Iraq, the company said today.

L-3's services for the contract will include screening local employed persons and providing human intelligence support teams, open source intelligence and intelligence support management.

L-3's team includes its SYColeman Corp. and ILEX Systems Inc. subsidiaries, Centurum Inc., Gray Hawk Systems Inc., Operational Support and Services, Future Technologies Inc., All World Language Corp., Oak Grove Technologies, Espial Corp. and JIL Information Systems Inc.

Based in Chantilly, Va., L-3 Communications Government Services Inc. provides technology services, support and products to federal, state and local governments and the private sector. Parent company L-3 Communications Inc. is based in New York and employs 44,200 workers. It had 2004 revenue of nearly $6.9 billion. L-3 is No. 15 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
