Titan wins Navy ship training systems work
Titan Corp. said it won a contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command to help procure engineering and technical services for the Navy's Total Ship Training Systems program.
Titan Corp. has won a $19.9 million contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command to help procure engineering and technical services for the Navy's Total Ship Training Systems program, the company announced today.
Under the contract, San Diego-based Titan will provide extensive engineering and technical services to a number of shipboard training systems, including the Battle Force Tactical Training System, the Battle Force Electronic Warfare Trainer, Trainer Simulator-Stimulator Systems, the Navigation Seamanship and Shiphandling Trainer, and the Damage Control Management Training System.
The project also will include hardware and software upgrades, shipboard training system installation and testing, logistics support, maintenance and repair, technical support, and operation and maintenance training.
The Navy's Total Ship Training Systems program is a fleetwide effort designed to bring more training and technology onto actual Navy platforms to maintain combat readiness.
Titan has roughly 12,000 employees and annual sales of $2.2 billion. The company ranks No. 12 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
