Covansys nabs New Jersey voter registration work
Covansys Corp. won a $14.8 million contract from the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General to provide a statewide voter registration system.
Covansys Corp. won a $14.8 million contract from the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General to provide a statewide voter registration system, the company announced today.
Covansys of Farmington Hills, Mich., will design, develop and implement a centralized voter registration system for the state. Covansys' team includes PCC Technology Group of Bloomfield, Conn., and Aradyme Corp. of American Fork, Utah. PCC will do the software that runs the system, and Aradyme will offer voter data migration and conversion services.
The statewide voter registration system will help New Jersey comply with the Help America Vote Act of 2002. The act requires all states to implement a statewide voter registration system to ensure accurate and consistent voter registration practices.
Covansys has similar voter registration projects in Idaho, Maine, Nevada, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
Covansys offers consulting and technology services to the government and commercial sectors. It has about 6,000 employees and annual sales of $374 million.
