NCI wins knowledge management work

NCI Information Systems has won a multiyear, $35 million contract from the National Security Agency to provide knowledge management solutions and expertise.

NCI Information Systems Inc. has won a multiyear, $35 million contract from the National Security Agency to provide knowledge management solutions and expertise, the company announced today.

Under the contract, NCI of Reston, Va., will support the agency's Knowledge System Prototype Development program. The program is intended to improve the agency's ability to transform data into information and knowledge.

The work will be performed by NCI's Scientific and Engineering Solutions Group, which specializes in knowledge management, software engineering, information assurance and IT enterprise solutions.

The company has 1,422 employees and had annual sales of $171 million in fiscal 2004.
