Sensoria Corp.'s new wireless mesh router enables high-throughput communication to support video and voice traffic with no infrastructure, said officials at the San Diego company.

EnRoute400 is aimed at emergency responders, military and industrial applications. Software enables each router to create a wireless virtual private network for peer-to-peer and peer-to-many communication.

EnRoute400 supports Internet Protocol, multiple radios and bridging to other networks. It is configured with an 802.11b radio and wired Ethernet or RS 232 for device connectivity. Additional radios such as 802.11g and 802.15.4 can be supported through internal PCMCIA and RS-232 interfaces.
