Army taps Cubic for battle system

Cubic Corp. of San Diego won a two-year, $6.2 million contract from the Army to design, develop and implement a system that collects knowledge and information from across the service.

Cubic Corp. of San Diego won a two-year, $6.2 million contract from the Army to design, develop and implement a system that collects knowledge and information from across the service.

Cubic's Training and Education Division in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., will establish and operate the Army's Battle Command Knowledge System, which will comprise a group of interactive networks, including Web repositories of meta data, subject matter experts and Web services that soldiers can access through standard browsers.
