Dynamics Research nabs two airbase decision support deals

Dynamics Research Corp. has won two contracts totaling $2.4 million to provide decision support systems to the military, the company announced today.

Under separate contracts, DRC of Andover, Mass., will provide the Navy's Naval Air Depot in Jacksonville, Fla., and the Air Force's 96th Air Wing at Eglin Air Force Base with systems that will be used to assist management processes for aircraft overhaul and airbase support activities.

The Navy contract is valued at $1 million, while the Air Force contract is valued at $1.4 million, the company said.

Specifically, DRC will build and expand Web-based applications that will allow the Navy and Air Force to schedule high-level aircraft processes, such as aircraft overhauls. The resulting Web-based decision support systems will allow management to better plan aircraft overhaul and support activities.

DRC also will address new processes and procedure areas within the naval air depot and Eglin Air Force Base.

The contracts expand the scope of the company's previous Simulation Modeling Analytical Support System contract with the Navy, and its Base Operating Support Assessment Model contract with the Air Force.

DRC is a provider of computer-based systems development, engineering, management and logistics support services to commercial and government clients.

The company has more than 1,700 employees and annual sales of $244.8 million. It ranked No. 77 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
