SRA to help Health and Human Services with PKI

SRA International Inc. won a five-year, $18.5 million contract from the Health and Human Services Department to provide operations and maintenance support for its public key infrastructure program.

SRA International Inc. won a five-year, $18.5 million contract from the Health and Human Services Department to provide operations and maintenance support for its public key infrastructure program, the company said today.

The program lets the department communicate electronically and securely with organizations and individuals to collect and transmit sensitive information both internally and externally.

SRA has been involved in the development, installation and support of the department's PKI system since 2002. Under the new contract, the company will continue to provide program management, system development and support and other services to buttress the system.

Specific tasks include operating the PKI system, enhancing its functions, registering users and conducting outreach activities to encourage system acceptance and use.

Fairfax, Va.-based SRA provides IT services and solutions to federal government agencies and is No. 31 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of prime federal contractors. It employs approximately 3,400 workers and had revenue of $615.8 million for the year ended June 30.
