Relativity hangs a shingle for public-sector practice

Relativity Technologies Inc., a provider of modernization solutions for enterprise applications, has launched a public-sector practice.

Relativity Technologies Inc., a provider of modernization solutions for enterprise applications, has launched a public-sector practice, the company announced today.

Relativity of Raleigh, N.C., will market its software platform and services to federal agencies to assist them in modernizing and consolidating data centers and updating back-end systems to support transactional e-government applications.

The public-sector practice will build on the company's existing government business, which includes the U.S. Postal Service, Air Force, and state and local government.

Bill Ryan will lead the new practice as the director of federal operations. Ryan, whose background is in marketing and business development, has extensive experience in the federal government arena. Most recently, he was vice president of marketing and strategic planning for Siemens Corp. of New York.

Federal Solutions Group Inc., a McLean, Va., sales and marketing consulting firm, is supporting Relativity's new practice.
