Butler leaves Acquisition Solutions

Phil Butler is leaving Acquisition Solutions Inc. and returning to his consulting practice.

Phil Butler, managing partner with Acquisition Solutions Inc., is leaving the firm after four years and returning to his consulting practice, Phil Butler & Associates Ltd.

Acquisition Solutions of Oakton, Va., provides services to government agencies to help them improve their procurement processes.

"I have accomplished what I started out to do with Acquisition Solutions and, now, the time is right for me to return to my private consulting practice and consider new opportunities," Butler said.

Butler led the company from a $500,000-a-year operation to a firm with more than $10 million in annual revenue, said Chip Mather, co-founder of Acquisition Solutions.

"He also was the driving force behind bringing a new level of management into the company," Mather said.

In addition to having served as managing partner of Acquisition Solutions, Butler also has held positions in the General Services Administration, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Agriculture Department and the Army as well as serving as the director of contracts for Robbins-Gioia Inc.
