Treasury banks on SRA for assurance

SRA International Inc. will provide various information assurance services to the Treasury Department under a five-year, $8.5 million contract.

SRA International Inc. will provide various information assurance services to the Treasury Department under a five-year, $8.5 million contract, the company said today.

The Fairfax, Va., IT services and solutions provider will work with the Office of Security Compliance to plan and manage requirements related to IT security policy, the company said.

SRA's assurance services will include researching vulnerabilities of new technologies, providing security training and awareness, certifying and accrediting, and developing security policies, standards and procedures.

SRA will deliver the services with its partner, System 1 Inc., to support the Federal Information Security Management Act's requirements for sensitive and classified systems.

SRA International had revenue of $450.4 million in 2003. It provides IT services to federal government customers, including the Defense, Homeland Security, Treasury, Justice, Interior, Labor and Health and Human Services departments.
