Reservation Web sites to merge

After more than two years of work on Recreation One-Stop Quicksilver, the Agriculture Department's Forest Service last month released a request for proposal to set up a new recreation reservation system that combines systems of the National Recreation Service and the National Park Service.

The contract will be for three and one-half years with six one-year options. Proposals are due April 23. The agency plans to award a contract in June and migrate to one system in November.
