CSC wins Australian work for $38 million

Computer Sciences Corp. has won a contract from the Western Australia Police Service for a variety of computer hardware, application and network management services.

Computer Sciences Corp. has won a contract from the Western Australia Police Service for a variety of computer hardware, application and network management services, the company announced today.

The three-year contract could be extended for two more years. It is worth $38 million with the option years.

CSC will manage approximately 244 Windows and 48 Unix servers, upgrade 4,000 desktops, manage a network management center and communications network and house and manage the force's mainframe computer.

The original contract began in 1998.
