Kelly Services Inc., a provider of temporary personnel, has launched a staffing service that places people with security clearances with government contractors.

The service is an expansion of the company's FedSecure service, which was started in 2001 as an executive search service for people with security clearances, the company said.

The expanded service will place people in short term and long-term positions with government contractors.

"There is increasing demand nationwide for a diverse range of people with security clearances as the needs of companies and government are growing more sophisticated in the area of security clearance requirements," said Andy Watt, senior vice president and general manager of Kelly's Professional, Technical and Staffing Alternatives unit, which operates FedSecure.

The service includes people with skills in information technology, administration, human resources, project management, engineering, legal and finance, the company said. Kelly has about 2,000 people available for placement.
