Info security group formed

	Rep. Adam Putnam has formed a Corporate Information Security Working Group, comprised of representatives from industry and academia to work for improved information security in U.S. businesses.

Rep. Adam Putnam has formed a Corporate Information Security Working Group, comprised of representatives from industry and academia to work for improved information security in U.S. businesses.

The group will meet periodically through the fall and winter to devise a strategy to secure business networks, Putnam said. It includes representatives from several IT industry groups, including the Business Software Alliance and the Information Technology Association of America.

Putnam, R-Fla., is chairman of the House Government Reform subcommittee on technology, information policy, intergovernmental relations and the census.
