CSC wins $1B sim deal
Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, Calif., won an Army contract worth more than $1.1 billion for simulator-based flight training and related aviation training support. CSC will provide its services to the Army Aviation Center at Fort Rucker, Ala. The contract is for 12 years and one eight-year option period.
Under the contract, called Flight School XXI, CSC will help the Army use high-tech training methods and virtual flight simulators to improve training and cut costs for rotary flight training.
CSC has provided similar services at Fort Rucker under the Joint Test and Evaluation Contract for the past six years.
