Brief: Inventory management applications

The U.S. Forest Service needs inventory management software for itself and other agencies with forest fire warehouse facilities. Between 250 and 350 government workers in fire cache business operations would use it. Their duties include defining customers and orders; requisitions, purchase orders and requests for supply items; issuing and receiving goods; documenting work orders; and back-ordering items.

Software requirements include varying levels of user access and security, to be controlled by a system administrator. It also needs to run as a standalone Java application and communicate with central and dispersed servers. For more information see FedBizOpps.gov, solicitation no. ICBS01.
