A second round of companies has been awarded spots on the Navy's $3 billion Training Systems Contract II.

A second round of companies has been awarded spots on the Navy's $3 billion Training Systems Contract II.

Awards went to Aero Simulation Inc., CAE USA, DEI Services Corp., EER Systems Inc., Indra Systems Inc., J.F. Taylor Inc., L-3 Communications Corp., NLX Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp., Science Applications International Corp. and Symvionics Inc.

Under this eight-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, companies will compete for task orders from the Naval Air Systems Command's training systems division.

Work will include designing, developing, implementing and evaluating instructional systems, human performance systems, job performance aids, computer-based training, distributed learning and the hardware and software associated with technology-based training.

There is a ceiling of $8 billion for both this lot, designated lot 1, and lot 2, whose winners were announced Aug. 15. The lot 1 awards went to Advanced Engineering and Research Associates, Anteon International Corp., Boeing Co., Carley Corp., Delex Systems Inc., DP Associates Inc. and Lockheed Martin Corp.
