The final FAR for the GWAC database will improve acquisition planning and market research, according to the Defense and Civilian acquisition councils. The database is part of the Integrated Acquisition Environment e-government project.

The councils set 17 data fields for each contract. They also added search capabilities for more fields, including vendors' socioeconomic information.
