BearingPoint Inc., McLean, Va., won a $9 million contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development to assist in rebuilding Iraq's economy, the company announced Thursday.

Under terms of this one-year contract, BearingPoint will help the Coalition Provisional Authority create a commercially competitive, private-sector economy for Iraq. BearingPoint will review the country's laws and policies that guide Iraq trade, commerce and investment.
