The project is expected to be worth about $15 million.

California's child support program has been restructured, and the state has to implement a single, statewide automated child support system. The newly created Department of Child Support Services now has responsibility for the program. The state's Franchise Tax Board has responsibility for a statewide automation development project. Two contracts are expected: one for an enforcement system, and a second one for a disbursement unit.

Also in California, an RFP is expected in July for a decision support system for the California Health and Welfare Agency's management information system. The project is estimated at $924,000. The agency is responsible for reducing preventable disease, disability and premature death. It works with various health care provider organizations in the state.
