The Federal Aviation Administration is planning three separate contracts for work previously performed under several contracts. The work will support FAA's Telecommunication Services Management organization, which provides engineering, acquisition and management of telecommunications services, networks and equipment. The TSM manages five FAA-owned and leased legacy telecommunications networks that will move to the FAA Telecom Infrastructure network over the next three years.

The first contract is the Telecommunication Services Management Engineering, Operations and Management contract; the second is the Business and Financial Management Services contract. The third is still in planning, but will be for local area network management, property management and some software development to support headquarters users. Draft statements of work have been released for the first two contracts, and the FAA is soliciting comments and statements of interest. Responses are due March 25.
