SRA to provide IT services to National Guard

SRA International Inc. of Fairfax, Va., today was awarded a $115 million competitive task order from the National Guard Bureau for a range of advanced IT products and services for five years.

SRA International Inc. of Fairfax, Va., today was awarded a $115 million competitive task order from the National Guard Bureau for a range of advanced IT products and services to the bureau's CIO and Army Reserve unit for five years.

As systems integrator, SRA will provide lifecycle maintenance of the Reserve Component Automation System.

The company also will field and support the Distributive Training Technology Project, a communications system that lets Guard and Reserve personnel learn foreign languages and improve reading, writing, critical thinking and IT skills. They study at more than 300 multimedia classrooms around the country via a terrestrial network and satellite links.

The SRA team includes 19 subcontractors. Services they will provide include project management, information assurance, systems engineering and integration, software and database development, integration of commercial products, operations and maintenance, and analysis and implementation of new technologies.

The task order was awarded under the Transportation Department's Information Technology Omnibus Procurement II contract.
