General Dynamics Corp., Falls Church, Va., has won three contract orders, potentially worth more than $215 million for work on Army combat vehicles, including work on the Land Warrior Program, the Defense Department announced this week.
The wins are:
Land Warrior Program: An increment of $7 million against a $60 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to implement the next phase of the program, which will enhance command and control systems for the Land Warrior combat vehicles. General Dynamics estimates that all phases of the program may amount to $791 million in work. The company's Decision Systems unit will perform the work and leads a team that includes Computer Sciences Corp., Kaiser Electro-Optics Inc. and Thales Communications Inc.Advanced Precision Kill Weapon: General Dynamics' Armament and Technical Products unit was awarded a $9 million, cost-plus-award-fee contract to develop and demonstrate an Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System.Assembly sets: A delivery order of $32 million against a $146 million sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract has been issued for vehicle assembly sets. General Dynamics' Land Systems division will conduct the work. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command is the contracting activity.
