MTC wins aircraft work

<FONT SIZE=2>&#009;MTC Technologies Inc., Dayton, Ohio, won a task order under the Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool contract to develop an identification friend or foe system for Air National Guard F-16 aircraft. The value of the task order, which is for six years, could be $175 million. </FONT>

MTC Technologies Inc., Dayton, Ohio, won a task order under the Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool contract to develop an identification friend or foe system for Air National Guard F-16 aircraft. The value of the task order, which is for six years, could be $175 million.

MTC's subsidiary Modern Technologies Corp. won the work. BAE Systems Plc, Farnborough, U.K., will support the company.

The Ogden Air Logistics Center made the award. Initial funding of $5.1 million to begin engineering and low-rate production work has been provided. Ultimately, 460 systems may be replaced.
