Dallas County taps SchlumbergerSema for IT outsourcing

Dallas County, Texas has awarded SchlumbergerSema Inc. a five-year, $40 million contract to provide information technology services and systems.

SchlumbergerSema Inc. won a five-year, $40 million contract to provide Dallas County, Texas, with information technology services and systems, the company announced this month.

Under the contract, SchlumbergerSema of Houston will provide the county with outsourcing support of IT services and systems, application administration and enhancements and consulting services.

The company also will provide a customized approach to the existing IT environment through its DeXa suite of services to meet the customer's requirement "to further innovation, creativity and the use of technology."

The contract contains 14 separate service level measurements to ensure customer satisfaction.

SchlumbergerSema, a unit of Schlumberger Ltd. of New York, is a provider of IT consulting, systems integration and managed service. Schlumberger Ltd. has annual revenue of $14.3 billion.
