The Louisiana Office of Electronic Services wants to build an e-government portal. The project will include constructing the portal and associated content management, search and customer relationship management capabilities. The portal will allow citizens to renew driver's licenses, obtain birth and death certificates and other services. The project is funded by a nearly $1 million grant from the Technology Innovation Fund program. An RFP is expected by the end of the year, with deployment by February 2003.

The New York State Thruway Authority is planning to convert its desktop and laptop environment to Windows XP and Office XP with Active Directory. The RFP is expected late this year or early in 2003.

The California Health and Human Services Department needs software maintenance and related services for its Interim Statewide Automated Welfare System and Welfare to Work applications. Vendors will be responsible for development of software modifications and maintenance and support services for the application and operational environments. The RFP is expected by the end of the year. The contract, which is for four years with four one-year options, should be worth about $10 million.
