Perot subsidiary gets INS projects

Perot Systems Government Services has won two orders, worth a total of $12 million, to support the Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Perot Systems Corp., Plano, Texas, won two orders, worth a total of $12 million, to support the Immigration and Naturalization Service, the company announced Nov. 11. Both delivery orders were won by Perot's subsidiary, Perot Systems Government Services Inc.

Each task is expected to take about two years to complete.

Under one order, Perot will help INS' Forensic Document Laboratory to digitize 8 million biometric records, including fingerprints, photographs and signatures.

The second order is follow-on work. Perot will continue to support a system it developed for INS that searches historical immigrant data. The company will provide software development, systems integration and microfilm conversion services.

With more than 600 employees, Perot subsidiary Perot Systems Government Services, specializes in serving the defense, intelligence, and law enforcement communities.
