Northrop Grumman lands $80M Navy contract

Northrop Grumman Corp. will lead a team to help the Navy streamline security assistance and foreign military sales for the Naval Sea Systems Command through a contract under the General Services Administration's Millennia Lite vehicle.

The contract is worth more than $80 million over 10 years to Northrop Grumman's Information Technology sector if all options are exercised, the company said Oct. 21.

The Los Angeles company's team members include Anteon International Corp., Fairfax, Va.; ASI Inc., Manassas, Va.; Command Decisions Systems & Solutions, Vienna, Va.; ROH Inc., Arlington, Va.; Telecommunications Systems, Annapolis, Md.; and Scientific Management Associates Inc., Alexandria, Va.

Northrop Grumman IT will provide a broad range of foreign military sales program and acquisition management support services for procuring Navy ordnance, weapons and weapons systems, ships and ship components and the construction and transfer of Navy ships and equipment.

Among its responsibilities, Northrop Grumman IT will provide knowledge management technologies to make available program data regarding foreign military sales over secured Web site technologies.

Northrop Grumman reported revenue of $13.6 billion in fiscal 2001, with almost 97,000 people employed worldwide.
