Navy taps SAIC for submarine technical services
Science Applications International Corp. has won a $60 million contract to provide submarine communications and intelligence services to the Navy.
Science Applications International Corp. has won a $60 million contract to provide submarine communications and intelligence services to the Navy, the company announced Sept. 16.
The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, awarded by the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Center in San Diego, is for one year with four one-year options.
Under the contract, SAIC of San Diego, Calif., will provide engineering and technical support services for the Submarine Communication Information Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence System Division.
The SAIC-led contracting team will provide services including program management, engineering, technical support, integrated logistics support and implementation support for afloat and offshore Navy C4I systems. The team will provide support for legacy systems as well as new technologies across the full spectrum of C4I.
Representative systems and technologies include voice and data communications, tactical data links, network design and management, information technologies and Internet application development and support.
SAIC has more than 40,000 employees and annual revenue of $6.1 billion.
