ACS wins $63M Air Force networking solutions order

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. won a seven-year, $63 million task order to provide network services for the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, ACS announced Sept. 16.

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. won a seven-year, $63 million task order to provide network services for the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, ACS announced Sept. 16. ACS has been working with the Air Force Reserve Command for five years.

Under the task order, Dallas-based ACS will be responsible for operation, security, management, administration and user help desk support of the local area networks at AFRC Headquarters at Robins AFB and 13 other sites nationwide. ACS Government Services' Business Technology Services unit will provide technical and system management and administration support to the staff at each site in order to provide core network services to more than 25,000 users.

The task order was awarded under the General Services Administration's Millennia Lite contract. Millennia Lite is a performance-based, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, governmentwide agency contract that supports federal agencies' IT needs.
