Munns to lead NMCI

Navy Rear Adm. Charles Munns has taken the post of program manager for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet. The new office is a centralized point of authority and accountability for the program.

Navy Rear Adm. Charles Munns has taken the post of program manager for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet. The new office is a centralized point of authority and accountability for the program.

Munns was the commander of Submarine Group Eight, Allied Submarines, Mediterranean. Marine Corps Col. Robert Logan will be his deputy on NMCI.

The Navy also announced that John Young will lead a senior-level review of the program office. Young is an assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition. The council is expected to include Navy representatives from operations, finance, training and testing, as well as industry leaders.
