CEO makes NFL hall of fame

John Stallworth, president and chief executive officer of Madison Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

John Stallworth, president and chief executive officer of Madison Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Stallworth was a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1974 to 1987. A veteran of four Super Bowl games, Stallworth caught 537 passes and made 63 touchdowns during his career. He also holds Super Bowl records for career average yards per catch (24.4 yards) and the single-game average yards per catch (40.33 yards in 1980).

Founded in 1986, Madison Research ranked No. 12 in Washington Technology's 2001 list of Top 25 8(a) and small businesses, based on prime contract IT revenue. The company provides engineering and IT services to federal agencies, including support operations to NASA and the Missile Defense Agency.

Hall of fame inductions will take place Aug. 3 in Canton, Ohio.
