A new year, a new look and focus

We've been listening to you, and the proof is right in your hands.
Like the companies we write about, Washington Technology pays close attention to its customers. We've been talking extensively with you, the systems integrators and IT companies doing business with government, to find out what issues are uppermost in your minds.

You've asked for more news about emerging technologies and the spending plans and priorities of your government customers. You also want more in-depth coverage of the major programs and trends within the government market. And you want us to continue Washington Technology's traditional focus on the business strategies and developments among the integrators in the government space.

You will see that we've added a section dedicated to emerging technologies and solutions, as well as a page in our federal section that takes an in-depth look at a different federal agency in each issue. We've also added a section called "The IT Crowd," which provides more news about the integrator community. And we've increased our coverage of relevant legislation and policies coming out of Congress and the White House.

Finally, we've redesigned our publication to make it easier for you to find the stories that interest you.

These changes are most evident on our front page and table of contents, but the magazine's entire look has changed to make us an easier, more compelling read.

Our front-page story on e-gov czar Mark Forman exemplifies this new approach. If you want to know what makes Forman tick ? and how your company fits into his strategy for transforming government ? you need to read this story.

The changes you see reflect our unchanging mission: to provide essential business news and analysis to government integrators. And they started with you. Let us know how you like them.
